About CETA Skills Development Programmes

The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) empowers unemployed youth and construction sector employees through skills development, creating a foundation for infrastructural development and economic empowerment. Funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training, CETA offers learnerships, bursaries, internships, and skills programmes in fields like Bricklaying, Plumbing, Civil Engineering, and Quantity Surveying, accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO).

Programme Purpose

CETA’s programmes aim to develop a skilled construction workforce, improving human resources through NQF-recognized qualifications. By funding learnerships, bursaries, and internships, CETA supports the National Skills Development Strategy, accredits training providers, and promotes economic empowerment through quality-assured training in the construction sector.

Application Process

Include a CV, certified copies of your ID, qualifications (Grade 12, diploma/degree, or acceptance letter for bursaries), and proof of residence (certified within the last 6 months). Specify the programme (e.g., Learnership: Bricklaying, Bursary: Civil Engineering). Incomplete applications or late submissions will not be considered.
