About the Role:
Eskom is looking for a skilled Engineering Assistant to support the safe and efficient operation of our High Voltage (HV) Plant. This role involves hands-on maintenance, inspections, safety checks, and mentoring within the Grid.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate and maintain HV Plant equipment
- Perform routine inspections and ensure safety compliance
- Mentor and coach team members
- Monitor plant conditions and maintain accurate documentation
- Support non-outage activities and switchgear maintenance
Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For:
- Integrity, honesty, and professionalism
- Team player with coaching and mentoring abilities
- Knowledge of plant operations, local procedures, and HV certification standards
- Strong planning, organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Computer literate
Minimum Requirements:
- Trade Certificate in Electrical (NQF 4, 120 credits)
- 2 years of electrical work experience
