- CB1: ± R216 417
- CB2: ± R251 103
- CB3: ± R292 731
(Salary progression depends on experience and level placement.)
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Completed Correctional Science Learnership / Basic Training / ITC
- Computer literacy
- Valid firearm competency certificate
- Good report writing skills
- Physically and mentally fit
- No criminal record
🔎 Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety and security within correctional facilities
- Control access and conduct searches
- Supervise inmates and monitor movement
- Write and submit incident reports
- Support rehabilitation and correctional programmes

🔐 Inmate Management & Escort Duties
Security Officers are responsible for:
- Escorting inmates within correctional centres
- Guarding inmates during hospital visits and court appearances
- Ensuring safety and control during all inmate movements
Maintaining discipline and safety is a core part of this role.

Security Officers assist with daily security operations by:
- Conducting physical security inspections
- Managing security equipment and stores
