About the Programme
The Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM), through its Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), is offering unemployed youth the opportunity to join the Law Enforcement Ambassadors Programme 2025.
This seven-month programme is designed to give participants practical exposure in law enforcement while promoting public safety and contributing to community development. Successful applicants will serve as ambassadors in various communities, helping with safety awareness campaigns, compliance monitoring, and community safety initiatives.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric).
- Hold a valid police clearance certificate or proof of payment for one.
- Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
- Be a South African citizen aged 18 – 35 years.
- Must be unemployed and not registered on any other Learnership, Internship, or Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme.
- Must reside within the Garden Route District municipal area.
Required Documents
When applying, candidates must submit the following:
- Certified copy of Identity Document (ID).
- Certified copy of Grade 12 certificate.
- Proof of police clearance or payment receipt.
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A completed EPWP application form.
