The University of South Africa (UNISA), in partnership with the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET), invites unemployed UNISA graduates to apply for the 2026 Internship Programme.
This 12-month internship is designed to provide graduates with practical workplace experience in finance, accounting, and auditing fields.
Internship Overview
- Programme: UNISA & FASSET Internship Programme 2026
- Duration: 12 Months
- Start Date: 01 April 2026
- Stipend: R127 576 per year
- Closing Date: 06 March 2026
- Locations: Pretoria and Johannesburg
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be 35 years old or younger
- Have completed a UNISA qualification (NQF Level 6 or higher)
- Hold a qualification in fields such as:
- Accounting Sciences
- Financial Accounting
- Internal Auditing
- Management Accounting
- Forensic Auditing / Investigation
- Must be unemployed with no previous work experience
- Must not have previously participated in a FASSET-funded programme
Note: Applicants who previously worked at UNISA or any other organisation will not be considered.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
