About the Clicks Shop Assistant Cashier Job
The purpose of the Shop Assistant Cashier role is to provide excellent customer service, process customer purchases efficiently, and support daily store operations. Successful candidates will assist customers at the point of sale, promote the Clicks ClubCard programme, and ensure the store remains clean and fully stocked.
Key Responsibilities
As a Shop Assistant Cashier at Clicks Group, your duties will include:
- Operating the point of sale (POS) system
- Scanning merchandise and processing payments
- Handling cash safely and accurately
- Promoting the Clicks ClubCard rewards programme
- Assisting customers with promotions and product information
- Maintaining merchandising standards and housekeeping
- Delivering friendly and professional customer service
- Supporting stock management procedures
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 / Matric – Required
- Maths and English at 50% – Advantageous
Experience
- Retail or customer service experience will be beneficial
