Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be between 18 – 35 years old
• Reside in the Western Cape
• Be medically fit for the trade
• Have a strong interest in engineering

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have one of the following:

• Grade 12 Technical with:
  • Metal Work
  • Welders Theory
  • Technical Maths (No Maths Literacy)
  • Technical Science

OR

• Grade 12 Academic with:
  • Mathematics (No Maths Literacy)
  • Physical Science

OR

• N2 Trade Theory Subjects including:
  • Platers Theory or Welders Theory
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Platers Drawings

OR

• NCV Level 4 Fabrication (No Maths Literacy)

Important Notes

• No experience is required — training will be provided.
• Successful candidates will complete psychometric testing.
• Candidates may first be employed as unskilled workers for a 3-month evaluation period.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be offered apprenticeships after evaluation.
• CVs without certificates will be disqualified.
• Candidates with Electrical, Diesel, Fitting & Turning, Motor qualifications, ND qualifications, or qualified artisans will not be considered.
