About MICT SETA Skills Development Programmes
The Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) empowers unemployed youth and sector employees by facilitating quality skills development in media and ICT. Funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training, MICT SETA offers learnerships, bursaries, internships, and skills programmes in five subsectors: advertising, film and electronic media, electronics, information technology, and telecommunications, fostering employment and bridging the digital divide.

MICT SETA’s programmes aim to generate and accelerate skills development, ensure quality assurance of training initiatives, and promote employment and new venture creation. By funding learnerships, bursaries, and internships, MICT SETA bridges the digital divide, particularly in rural areas, enhancing South Africa’s media and ICT sectors.
