Purpose of the Job
The main purpose of this role is to ensure customers enjoy a positive and convenient shopping experience. Employees in this position will support store operations through customer service, cashier duties, merchandising, housekeeping, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customers have a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers in locating products and items in the store.
- Respond to customer questions and address complaints in a professional manner.
Cashier Responsibilities
- Process customer payments using cash and card methods.
- Process lay-by transactions.
- Handle customer refunds when required.
- Balance the till and report discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Merchandising and Stock Management
- Ensure that products are correctly priced and displayed on the shelves.
- Maintain product availability on the sales floor.
- Ensure that the store is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
- Stay informed about current store promotions and product offers.
Risk Management
- Ensure that products are tagged according to company policy.
- Participate in stock-taking activities when required.
- Remain alert for shoplifting or fraudulent activities and report suspicious behaviour to store management.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants who wish to apply for this position should meet the following requirements:
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12) is required.
- Excellent customer service skills.

- Previous retail experience will be advantageous but is not always required.
