Who Should Apply?
Sanlam is looking for two types of candidates:
1. Current University Students
- South African citizens studying Actuarial Science full-time
- Currently in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of study
- Strong academic track record
- Motivated, disciplined, and focused on long-term career goals
2. Grade 12 Learners (Matriculants)
- Planning to enroll for Actuarial Science in 2026
- Achieving 90% or more in Mathematics
- Holding an overall A average
- Passionate about numbers, logic, and solving complex problems

- Motivational letter answering:
- What does an actuary do?
- Why do you want to study actuarial science?
- Why do you believe you have what it takes?

- If not an actuary, what’s your backup plan?
How do you apply?
If you’re a school-leaving learner, include:
- Final Grade 11 results
- Mid-year Grade 12 results (2025)
- NBT results (if available)
- Final Matric results will be considered if needed
