Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Ability to maintain high hygiene standards
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of an additional language
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout Head Office and communal areas daily
- Develop and follow cleaning routines to ensure all areas meet Dis-Chem hygiene standards
- Keep the canteen and restrooms clean, hygienic, and fully stocked
- Be available during operational hours for cleaning duties as required
- Dispose of refuse responsibly, ensuring no products or valuables are discarded
- Vacuum carpeted areas daily in meeting and training rooms; weekly for other areas
- Dust desks, chairs, telephones, shelves, photocopiers, and office equipment
- Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties
- Store cleaning utensils safely and display wet floor signs when cleaning floors
- Provide professional and friendly service when customers are on-site
- Guide customers to the correct floor or personnel if requested
- Communicate clearly with staff and guests
- Report malfunctioning equipment or facility issues (doors, locks, taps, lights, etc.) to the team leader
- Ensure kitchens and bathrooms are stocked and cleaned according to Dis-Chem standards, reporting shortages or issues promptly
