Job Information

• Job Title: Cleaners
• Number of Posts: Two (X2)
• Salary: R138 486 per annum (Level 02)

• Employment Type: Permanent

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 / Standard 8
• Ability to communicate in at least two official languages
• Basic literacy to read operating instructions and notices
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, maintenance, and safety requirements
• Ability to use cleaning materials appropriately
• Flexibility to manage time effectively and adapt to changing demands
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the campus

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure classrooms and surrounding areas are cleaned thoroughly
• Perform gardening duties, including: soil cultivation, digging, forking, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, and planting
• Empty litter bins around the campus
• Keep borders, throughfares, and footpaths clear and free from debris
• Carry out duties with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards

Skills and Attributes

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment usage
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain hygiene standards
• Flexibility and reliability to manage time and work effectively
• Basic interpersonal and communication skills
