Purpose of the Learnership
The Coca-Cola Visual Merchandiser Learnership is designed to provide structured, hands-on training that equips learners with the commercial skills and practical knowledge needed to serve customers effectively. Participants will learn how to grow sales volume, manage order processes, and implement merchandising standards for both direct and indirect customers within a specific geographical area.
The role reports directly to the Account Developer and requires collaboration with the sales team and customer engagement.
Key Interactions
- Sales Team Members: Work closely to coordinate daily tasks and share expertise.
- Sales Account Developer: Receive training, guidance, and feedback on performance and safety protocols, while aligning with the broader sales process.
- Consumers: Understand preferences and behaviours to support sales strategies and product offerings.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow daily call schedules at assigned bronze and tin outlets, ensuring targets are met.
- Implement visual merchandising standards, including stock rotation and in-store displays according to brand guidelines.
- Maintain product quality, availability, and visibility, meeting RED and execution scorecard standards and completing iRED surveys.
- Support customers in placing orders using the MyCCBA platform.
- Assist with promotional activities to boost brand visibility.
- Provide relief support as directed by the line manager when needed.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40% pass).
- Grade 12 communication with English and a second language (minimum 40% pass).
- South African citizen.
- Available to work six days per week.
- Must be an Employment Equity candidate.
- Aged between 18 and 35 years.
- No criminal or adverse credit record.
- Willing to consent to criminal, ID, and qualification verification.
- Driver’s licence is advantageous (may be required for travel to stores).
- Not currently enrolled in any learnership or full-time studies.
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership with another company.
- Unemployed at the time of appointment.
- Post-matric qualification in Sales & Marketing is required.
