Job Description
The main responsibility of the Code 10 Driver is to deliver goods safely and efficiently from one location to another within the required timeframe, while complying with all road safety regulations and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with delivery times, procedures, and company regulations
- Ensure safe handling and operation of the vehicle
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report faults or mechanical issues
- Complete vehicle inspection sheets and refuel when necessary
- Check truck list and follow assigned delivery routes
- Inspect truck and load before departure
- Practice safe driving (no speeding, no phone use, no eating or smoking while driving)
- Follow the Road Traffic Act and ensure road safety at all times
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Ensure correct loading of goods and verify documentation
- Deliver correct quantities and obtain proof of delivery signatures
- Load and offload products, including pallets
- Return undelivered goods, empty containers, and invoices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization according to 5S standards
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Be punctual and available for early shifts when required
- Communicate daily activities using the provided system
- Complete all documentation accurately

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years proven driving experience
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Valid South African ID
- Must be willing to work rotational shifts
