Job Overview: Transit Shed Agent at DHL
DHL Express is looking for a Transit Shed Agent to join their operations team in Cape Town. This role is responsible for ensuring that all shipments in the bonded warehouse are accurately sorted, stored, scanned, and dispatched according to company standards.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining efficient logistics operations in a fast-paced and high-performance environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Shelve, label, and store shipments correctly according to GSOP standards
- Perform daily checks to ensure all bonded shipments are accounted for
- Update systems and ensure accurate scanning of all shipments
- Manage multiple shipments including pre-advised and part shipments
- Process shipment check-outs and ensure accuracy before release
- Prepare and submit shipment documentation to the Imports department
- Handle pre-cleared shipments and follow up on missing documents
- Complete bond reconciliation and reporting
- Support supervisors with daily warehouse operations

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric certificate)
- Experience in the courier or logistics industry
- Knowledge of customs processes will be an advantage
- Valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s licence
- Strong computer literacy and system knowledge
- Willingness to complete DHL training programmes
