Introduction:
ASSMANG Pty Ltd invites motivated and suitably qualified individuals to apply for the Diesel Mechanic Learnership (Engineering 18.2) at Black Rock Mine. This learnership offers structured workplace training, industry exposure, and recognised mining qualifications, while developing technical competence in a professional mining environment.

Learnership Overview:

• Facilitated through the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA).
• Based on nationally recognised unit standards.
• Learners are assessed against these standards and credits recorded on the MQA database.
• Successful completion results in a qualification certificate issued by the MQA.
• Completion requires passing a formal trade test.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science (Mathematics Literacy not accepted)
• N2 / N3 Engineering Studies, including:
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Engineering Drawings
  • Diesel Trade Theory
• English literacy (written and verbal)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must obtain a Dover “B” Symbol
• Must pass the Technical Test Battery Assessment
• Valid Driver’s Licence (Code B/EB) – advantageous
