About FASSET Skills Development Programmes

The Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET) empowers unemployed youth and sector employees by developing world-class finance and accountancy skills. Funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training, FASSET offers learnerships, bursaries, internships, and skills programmes in fields like Financial Management, Bookkeeping, BCom Accounting, and BCom Finance, fostering transformation and lifelong learning.

Programme Purpose

FASSET’s programmes aim to increase the flow of new entrants, develop critical skills, and transform the finance and accountancy sector. By funding learnerships, bursaries, and internships, FASSET enhances access to learning, supports Employment Equity, and positions the sector as a career choice for prospective learners.

Application Process

Submit your application by early 2026 (typically March for bursaries, check FASSET announcements) via email to info@fasset.org.za or hand-deliver to 1st Floor, 296 Kent Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg. Postal applications can be sent to PO Box 6801, Cresta, 2118. Include a CV, certified copies of your ID, qualifications (Grade 12, diploma/degree, or acceptance letter for bursaries), and proof of residence (certified within the last 6 months). Specify the programme (e.g., Learnership: Financial Management, Bursary: BCom Accounting). Incomplete applications or late submissions will not be considered.
