About the Role

As a General Assistant at Cashbuild, you will provide exceptional customer service, ensure proper merchandising of stock, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety standards in your designated store area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product inquiries and resolve complaints
  • Merchandise bulk stock safely according to store layout and planograms
  • Maintain shelves with correct price labelling
  • Keep your work area clean and safe, including aisles, canteen, and toilet areas
  • Report damaged stock or discrepancies to the Store Manager

Requirements

  • Grade 10 (NQF 3) with 1-year related experience OR Grade 12 (no experience required)
  • Ability to communicate in English and the local dominant language
  • Valid South African ID or work permit
  • Basic maths skills
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure
