Job Summary
Job Crystal is seeking a General Worker skilled in Assembly & Welding to support our manufacturing operations in Johannesburg. This role involves hands-on mechanical assembly and basic welding, ensuring high-quality output while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit, and have experience with mechanical equipment and welding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform basic welding on small to medium steel components.
- Prepare and clean metal surfaces, set up welding tools, and inspect finished work for defects.
- Operate hand and power tools safely; report any equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and assist the team with material handling.
- Follow strict safety protocols at all times.

Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly (non-mass production).
- Proven welding skills on steel components.
- Knowledge of sprockets, bearings, motors, chains, and related mechanical equipment.
- Competent in using drill press, taps/dies, angle grinder, and basic fabrication tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, measure accurately (mm/fractions), and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Physically fit, reliable, and effective English communication skills.
