AM Security Services is rolling out its 2025–2026 Learnership Programme to train future security professionals. It’s aimed at young people who are ready to work, learn, and grow in one of the most active sectors in the country.
The programme leads to a National Certificate in General Security Practices (NQF Level 3), and it’s fully accredited. That means you’re not just gaining experience—you’re walking away with a qualification that’s recognised across the industry.
Who Should Apply?
This opportunity is mainly for unemployed youth who meet the following:
- You’re between 18 and 30 years old
- You’ve passed Grade 10, 11 or Matric
- You’re currently not working or studying
- You’re physically and mentally ready to take on the duties of security work
- You’re serious about building a future in the security field
There will be background checks, and you’ll need to go through assessments. If you’re not already PSIRA-registered, that’s part of the process too.
What You’ll Learn
Throughout the programme, you’ll be trained in:
- Access control and patrolling
- Handling incidents and writing reports
- Guarding duties
- Professional conduct and communication
- Following PSIRA standards and protocols
You’ll also gain discipline, structure, and the kind of teamwork mindset that employers love. Plus, you’ll get a monthly stipend while you’re in the programme.
How Long Is It and Where’s It Happening?
The learnership runs for 12 months. You’ll split your time between the classroom and real-world placements at AM Security’s sites across South Africa. Be ready to commit—this is not a side hustle.
