Minimum Requirements

- South African citizenship.
Learnership Details
- Duration: 2 years.
- Agreement: Successful candidates will sign a two-year learnership agreement with Ilima Coal Company, effective from 26 September 2025.
- The programme combines theoretical training with practical workplace experience, preparing participants to become qualified artisans in their chosen trade.
About Ilima Coal Company
- Ilima Coal Mine (formerly Pembani Coal Carolina) is an opencast and underground coal mine owned by Pretorius Group of Companies (PGC).
- Located approximately 3 km east of Carolina, Mpumalanga, north of the R38.
- Acquired by PGC in 2016 from Pembani Coal Carolina (PCC).
- Operates under a large mining right area, with phased development planned over 30 years.
