About the Role:
The City of Ekurhuleni is looking for a dedicated General Worker to help maintain clean, safe, and well-organized municipal facilities, including offices, stadia, and outdoor areas. This role involves general maintenance, cleaning, and support tasks to ensure a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and handy work as required.
- Keep offices, restrooms, kitchens, storerooms, and outdoor spaces clean and orderly.
- Use and care for cleaning equipment and materials responsibly.
- Assist in preparing venues and serving refreshments for meetings when needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and adhere to Batho Pele principles.
- Identify and report risks or maintenance issues promptly to prevent resource wastage.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 10 qualification.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Willingness to perform physical and routine tasks.
