Looking for a Job in the Energy and Water Sector? EWSETA Vacancies Are Open

Right, if you’ve been working in the energy space and know your stuff when it comes to training and workplace quality, here’s something worth checking out. EWSETA’s looking for someone with solid industry experience to join as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the energy sector.

This isn’t an entry-level gig. They want someone who actually knows what’s happening out there in the real world – not just theory. The job’s about making sure training providers are doing things properly and that learners get placed where they can actually learn and grow.

Salary: R652,306 to R815,382 per year
Deadline to apply: 16 July 2025 (4:30 PM sharp – no late ones)

What You’ll Be Doing

Here’s the basic rundown:

  • You’ll go out to workplaces and check if they’re suitable for training learners.
  • Help assess and give input when training providers want to get accredited.
  • Check if SDPs (Skills Development Providers) are doing what they’re supposed to do.
  • Give honest feedback and help improve how training programmes are run.
  • Share your experience with the internal team – not everything is in a textbook.
  • Make sure all the quality assurance stuff makes sense for the real world, not just the boardroom.

What They’re Looking For

  • Someone with proper technical knowledge of the energy sector
  • Must understand how workplace training actually works
  • Able to go on-site and give proper feedback – no clipboard inspectors
  • Knows how to balance paperwork with what’s practical
  • Someone who can work in a team but also knows how to lead when needed

How to Apply

No complicated forms here. Just send your CV and certified qualifications to the email address they’ve given.
