Nedbank has partnered with the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme to create job opportunities for unemployed youth and help build skills, experience, and stronger communities across South Africa.

📌 What is the YES Programme?

The YES Programme is a business-led partnership with government aimed at reducing youth unemployment by giving young people meaningful workplace experience and the chance to develop practical skills that improve their future job prospects.

✅ Who Can Apply?

You may apply if you are:

  • A South African citizen aged 18–29 years as of 1 May 2026
    (Born between 2 May 1997 and 1 May 2008)
  • Have Matric (Grade 12)
    OR a post-matric qualification:
    • NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate)
    • NQF Level 6 (Diploma)
    • NQF Level 7 (Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Currently unemployed
  • A South African-born African, Coloured or Indian citizen as defined by the BBBEE Act
  • Have not previously participated in any YES Programme

⏳ Programme Duration & Start Date

  • 12-month contract
  • Start Date: 01 May 2026

This programme is not a learnership, internship, or apprenticeship.

💰 Stipend

Participants will receive a monthly stipend in line with YES Programme guidelines to assist with transport, food, and basic living costs.

📍 Where Will You Work?

Work experience will take place at Nedbank branches, offices, and sites across South Africa.
Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work.
Depending on the role, you may work weekdays and/or shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and you must be able to travel to and from the workplace.
