About the Apprenticeship
The programme is designed to develop skilled technical professionals who will support the day-to-day engineering and operational needs at RCL’s Bushbuckridge site. Over the course of the apprenticeship, participants will be exposed to a wide range of engineering tasks, safety standards, and maintenance operations in a real production environment.
This is not just classroom learning—it’s hands-on, practical experience that lays the groundwork for a career in manufacturing and industrial engineering.
Key Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience with industrial machinery and baking equipment
- Support routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical faults under guidance
- Develop mechanical and electrical engineering skills specific to food manufacturing
- Follow health and safety standards to ensure smooth plant operations
- Work closely with experienced engineers and technical mentors
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- N4 certificate (essential)
- N5 or higher qualification is an added advantage
Physical & Technical Requirements:
- Must be medically fit for physical work
- Willing to engage in hands-on tasks in a production environment
- Interest in engineering, food production, and factory operations
