About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies Artem, Seapoint is seeking a Retail Store Assistant to support daily store operations and deliver excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will assist with store administration, manage customer interactions, and ensure operational standards are met. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with retail experience who want to grow their career in the retail and pharmacy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with store management and operational duties according to company policies.
- Handle customer compliments, complaints, and enquiries, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Manage stock queries, returns, and refunds accurately.
- Verify deliveries and invoices for accuracy.
- Support the Receiving Manager with Distribution Centre claims.
- Maintain cash floats, petty cash, and daily reconciliation.
- Ensure high customer service standards and adhere to company benchmarks.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Retail experience
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Leadership and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Honesty, reliability, and trustworthiness
Additional Conditions:
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record (MIE check)
- Driver’s license and/or reliable transport
