About the Learnership
The SBV Services YES4Youth Cash Processor Learnership 2026 is a 12-month structured work experience programme aimed at equipping unemployed South African youth with practical skills in cash management, banking operations, and financial services. This programme provides valuable hands-on exposure, helping participants build a career in the financial sector.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics Literacy or Mathematics
- Work Experience: No prior experience required; 6 months cashier/teller experience is an advantage
- Citizenship: South African
- Age: 18–29 years (some positions may extend up to 34–35)
- Skills: Basic computer literacy, ability to read and write, attention to detail, and capacity to work under pressure in a high-security environment
Key Responsibilities
Participants in the Cash Processor Learnership will gain experience in:
- Receiving, counting, and verifying cash deposits from banks and retail outlets
- Sorting banknotes and identifying damaged or counterfeit currency
- Reconciling deposits and balancing daily transactions using digital systems
- Packing and preparing cash for ATMs and treasury shipments
- Complying with operational procedures and security protocols

- Western Cape: Cape Town CBD
- Limpopo: Burgersfort
- KwaZulu-Natal: Port Shepstone, Richards Bay, Durban
