Shoprite Money Market Opportunity: YES Programme 2026
The Shoprite Group is inviting applications from unemployed youth for its Money Market YES Programme 2026. This 12-month programme offers valuable workplace experience while developing skills in retail, customer service, sales, and financial services.
Programme Overview
Successful candidates will be placed in Shoprite stores as Money Market Sales Representatives. Participants will gain hands-on experience while promoting and supporting Shoprite’s Money Market financial services in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Participants will be responsible for:
- Assisting customers with Money Market products and services
- Promoting services such as money transfers, bill payments, and prepaid products
- Providing excellent customer service
- Meeting sales targets and contributing to store performance
- Complying with operational, service, and regulatory standards
This programme is ideal for young people interested in building a career in retail, sales, or financial services.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen aged 18–35 years
- Hold a relevant qualification such as NC(V) Level 4, Office Administration, Marketing Management, or a related certificate or diploma
- Be willing to work in a customer-facing retail environment
- Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Contract Duration & Remuneration
- Duration: 12 months
- Contract type: Fixed-term YES Programme contract
- Monthly salary: R3,360
- Commission: Performance-based, uncapped earning potential
Participants earn an income while gaining practical experience that enhances future employability.
