Job Overview

Position: Team Leader
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Employment Type: Permanent Contract
Salary: R27,000 – R35,000 per month
Number of Positions: 20
Experience Required: 2–5 years
Education Level: College (Matric required)

Key Responsibilities

Operational Stock Movement

Manage stock movement processes including milkrun, sequencing, and kitting.
Oversee offloading and loading of stock from vehicles.
Conduct stock relocation and daily stock checks.
Participate in stock takes as required.

Picking Duties

Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to pick orders accurately.
Stage picked products in designated areas.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.

Quality Control

Ensure correct receiving, handling, and dispatch of goods.
Verify product quality and report discrepancies or damages.
Maintain accurate documentation as required.

Safety and Housekeeping

Adhere to all safety standards and compliance regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Inspect trollies and stillages before use and report any damage.
Comply with corporate and site-specific policies.

Equipment Management

Operate MHE safely and efficiently.
Report equipment faults immediately.
Ensure proper inspection before every shift.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12)

Experience

2–5 years’ experience in an automotive logistics environment.
3–5 years’ experience using CMMS3.
Advantageous: 2 years’ experience in production operations.

Skills and Competencies

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Warehouse management knowledge.
Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Basic numeracy skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Proficiency in using mobile devices (tablet/smartphone).
Working knowledge of CMMS3 systems.
