Internship Overview:
Universities South Africa is offering a 12-month Receptionist Internship to give graduates meaningful work experience in a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop administrative skills and gain exposure in a dynamic office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk: answer calls, take messages, and direct visitors
- Maintain a tidy, professional reception area with all necessary materials
- Sort, distribute, and file mail and documents
- Perform general administrative tasks: photocopying, filing, minute-taking, transcribing, faxing
- Support meetings and organize catering as needed
- Ensure office security and proper document archiving
- Assist with ad hoc duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, professional, and reliable
