This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about banking, customer service, and digital finance solutions. Successful candidates will serve as in-store banking representatives within partnered retail outlets, assisting customers with transactions, account services, and promoting digital banking channels.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Interaction

  • Welcome and assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, balance enquiries, redemptions, and book updates.
  • Authenticate customers using ID documents or registered mobile numbers.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC and AML requirements.
  • Educate customers on Postbank digital services: ATM, Mobile App, and USSD.

Transaction Processing

  • Execute assisted transactions using CSC terminals or tablets.
  • Generate and provide secure barcode slips or OTP tokens for transactions.
  • Monitor transaction completion and resolve exceptions.

Operational Governance

  • Maintain vouchers and tokens through correct lifecycle stages.
  • Submit daily reconciliation reports.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, anti-fraud policies, and operational standards.

Digital Banking Education

  • Encourage and support customers to adopt digital banking platforms.
  • Assist first-time users with digital activation, PIN resets, and device linking.

Service Quality

  • Maintain service excellence per Postbank SLAs.
  • Participate in service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all customer information.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
  • NQF Level 5 or higher in Banking, Financial Services, or Customer Management – advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years’ customer-facing experience in banking, retail, or financial services.
  • Experience with cashier, customer service, or teller roles – advantageous.
  • Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Familiarity with digital banking systems, POS systems, and tablets.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of financial products and banking operations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, under pressure.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Clean criminal record.
