Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality customer service while supporting the store in achieving sales targets and increasing overall revenue through effective selling techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with product selection
• Provide accurate product information and recommendations
• Apply upselling and cross selling techniques to increase sales performance
• Promote available payment methods such as Payflex and Happy Pay
• Maintain a professional appearance in line with company standards

Visual Merchandising

• Ensure that all products are neatly displayed and correctly priced
• Perform steaming, tagging, folding, and replenishment of stock
• Follow visual merchandising guidelines to enhance the customer shopping experience

Stock Control

• Maintain an organized and clean stockroom
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock or fast selling items
• Ensure products are easily accessible to support efficient sales

Daily Operations and Housekeeping

• Process customer transactions accurately using the point of sale system
• Handle cash and card payments responsibly
• Follow attendance procedures and adhere to scheduled working hours

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
• One to two years of retail experience is preferred
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of retail practices and customer service
