About the Absa Junior Learner Programme

The Absa Junior Learner Programme is designed to equip graduates with practical skills and workplace experience in Learning and Development. Successful candidates will work closely with the Human Capital team and assist with training administration, coordination, reporting, and compliance activities.

This programme provides exposure to the banking industry while helping learners build professional and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with learning and development administration
  • Scheduling and coordinating training sessions
  • Managing attendance registers and training records
  • Organising venues, catering, and training logistics
  • Communicating with trainers and participants
  • Maintaining accurate training data and reports
  • Supporting learning management systems (LMS)
  • Collecting training feedback and evaluations
  • Assisting with compliance and skills development activities
  • Supporting additional Human Capital projects when required

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the programme, applicants must:

  • Be unemployed
  • Be available for the full 12-month programme
  • Hold a Degree or NQF Level 7 qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
  • Have excellent organisational and administrative abilities
  • Be willing to learn and grow within the Human Capital field
