Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 10, AET Level 4, or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to read and write
  • Minimum of 1 year hospital cleaning experience will be an advantage
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, night shifts, and public holidays
  • Knowledge of Batho Pele principles and workplace procedures

Cleaner Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning hospital wards, offices, corridors, kitchens, and bathrooms
  • Cleaning windows, floors, doors, benches, and hospital equipment
  • Replacing toilet paper, hand towels, and refreshers
  • Collecting and returning food trolleys
  • Washing kitchen utensils and maintaining hygiene standards
  • Refilling water bottles and requesting cleaning materials
  • Updating daily cleaning checklists
