About the Role
The Packaging Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements are achieved.
The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to support efficient packaging operations at the brewery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Packaging Operator responsibilities include:
- Operating packaging machinery and associated production processes
- Implementing shift production plans
- Operating automatic and manual production machines
- Monitoring process quality and productivity
- Completing production administration and reporting tasks
- Managing PIMS and POMS systems
- Identifying and correcting negative production trends
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Assisting with operational reports when required
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the AB InBev Packaging Operator Vacancy 2026, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Post-matric qualification such as N4, National Diploma, or equivalent
- At least 9 months of on-the-job training
- Experience in a Packaging FMCG environment
- Completed SKAP training within 12 months
- IOB Certificate will be an added advantage
