About the Housekeeper Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, passageways, pause areas, and other designated office spaces. The role also includes assisting with event setups and adhoc maintenance duties when required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Bathroom Cleaning Duties

• Refill toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers
• Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, and sanitary bins
• Wipe mirrors, basins, countertops, and tiled surfaces
• Sweep and mop bathroom floors regularly
• Empty bins and remove litter
• Conduct hourly cleanliness inspections
• Report leaks, damages, and maintenance issues
• Maintain hygiene standards in line with health and safety regulations

Passageway and Office Cleaning

• Sweep and mop passageways daily
• Vacuum carpets and mats where necessary
• Clean doors, handrails, and high-touch surfaces
• Keep common areas clean throughout the day

Pause Area Cleaning

• Clean tables, counters, chairs, and sinks
• Empty garbage bins and replace refuse bags
• Refill soap and paper towel dispensers
• Ensure kitchen and pause areas remain neat and hygienic

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and moving equipment
• Maintain housekeeping tools and cleaning equipment
• Submit stock usage reports and stock takes
• Support maintenance teams with adhoc handyman duties

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this Housekeeper vacancy at Lesedi, applicants must have:

• Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification
• 6–12 months cleaning or housekeeping experience
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Professional attitude and reliability
• Driver’s Licence will be advantageous
