About the Position

The General Worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping across operational areas, including workshops, loading zones, offices, storage facilities, machine yards, and ablution facilities. The role helps ensure safe working conditions by removing waste, mud, spills, dust, and other hazards that could affect employees, vehicles, and heavy machinery.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy practical work, pay attention to detail, and are committed to maintaining high workplace safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Grade 10–12 (Grade 12 preferred).
Basic cleaning or safety training will be advantageous.
1–2 years of cleaning experience in industrial, agricultural, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
Experience working around heavy equipment is beneficial.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, housekeeping procedures, and waste handling.
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

Clean workshops, loading areas, offices, machine yards, and other operational facilities.
Remove dust, mud, oil spills, sugar cane residue, and other debris.
Maintain clean walkways and workspaces to improve safety.
Collect, separate, and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
Assist with recycling and proper waste management.
Identify and report workplace hazards.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
Maintain cleaning tools and report damaged equipment.
Complete housekeeping checklists and report incidents to supervisors.
Follow all health, safety, and PPE requirements.
