The purpose of this role is to deliver fast, accurate, and friendly service at the point of sale. The Cashier will handle customer transactions, maintain proper cash control, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Welcome and assist customers at the checkout
Accurately scan and process purchases
Handle cash, EFT, and card payments
Perform daily cash-ups and follow cash control procedures
Pack customer purchases efficiently
Monitor and report suspicious activities
Stay updated on promotions and product offerings
Issue gift cards and manage reward programmes
Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area
Assist with stock takes and general store duties

✅ Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
At least 1 year experience as a cashier or in retail
Strong numerical and cash handling skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
High attention to detail and organisational ability
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Clear credit record
Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays
