Key Responsibilities
As a Laundry Worker, your duties will include:
- Sorting, counting, and preparing dirty linen from hospitals and clinics.
- Operating and assisting with laundry machines and equipment.
- Receiving soiled linen and issuing clean linen to healthcare facilities.
- Packing linen into trolleys and linen bags.
- Cleaning and maintaining the laundry area.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent.
- No prior experience is required.
- Knowledge of laundry procedures and processes.
- Skills: basic numeracy, literacy, communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure, perform physical labor, and liaise with stakeholders.
- Must be willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Compliance with protective clothing regulations is mandatory.
