About the Discovery Learnership Programme 2026

The Discovery Learnership Programme leads to a nationally recognised qualification:

• FETC: Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4

Learners will gain practical experience within Discovery Health’s GAU Service Team while developing professional and customer service skills.

Learnership Responsibilities

Successful candidates may be involved in:

• Medical aid customer service
• Claims administration
• New business support
• Health benefits administration
• Call centre operations
• Client communication and support

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Mathematics: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
• English: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
• Maths Literacy: Minimum Level 5 (60%)
• Second language: Minimum Level 4 (50%)

Additional Requirements

Candidates must:

• Be between 18 and 25 years old
• Be living with a disability
• Not be permanently employed
• Not currently be studying full-time
• Not have completed a previous learnership
• Have good communication skills in English
• Possess basic computer literacy, including MS Excel and MS Outlook

An incomplete tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
