Ngwathe Local Municipality, situated in the Free State Province, is calling on motivated and dedicated individuals to apply for the Traffic Trainee Learnership Programme 2025. This one-year learnership is designed to provide participants with professional training, practical exposure, and valuable experience in road traffic management and law enforcement.
About the Learnership Programme
- Position: Traffic Trainee (x27 Posts)
- Duration: 12 months (fixed-term contract)
- Training Provider: Mangaung Traffic Training Academy
- Qualification Obtained: Certificate in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4)
This initiative forms part of the municipality’s efforts to combat youth unemployment while developing skilled professionals to serve in the field of traffic law enforcement.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Grade 12 / Matric
- Must hold a valid driver’s licence
- Must provide SAPS Clearance results confirming no criminal record
- Must submit proof of medical fitness
Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will undergo intensive training and practical exposure to:
- Enforce road traffic laws and regulations
- Manage traffic flow and road safety operations
- Assist in reducing road accidents through compliance enforcement
- Provide professional service to the community
