Qualifications Offered

Northlink College provides two qualification pathways based on your current entry level:

1. Higher Certificate: ECD Level 5

Requirement: NQF Level 4, FETC: ECD Certificate (SAQA ID 58761)

  • Designed for learners who completed a foundational ECD certificate
  • Expands professional knowledge and practical skills at Level 5

2. National Diploma: ECD Level 5

Requirement: NQF Level 5, ECD Certificate (SAQA ID 64649)

  • Suited for learners who already hold a Level 5 certificate
  • Provides advanced expertise in managing and facilitating early learning programmes

Entry Requirements and Documents

Applicants must meet the academic and institutional criteria and submit the following certified documents:

  • Copy of South African ID
  • Proof of residential address
  • ETDP SETA Statement of Results and Certificate
  • Employment letter from a registered ECD Centre or Primary School
  • Proof of registration of the ECD Centre or School (NPO certificates not accepted)

These requirements ensure that learners are placed in legitimate, accredited learning environments.
