This Food R&D learnership focuses on product development, seasoning applications, laboratory testing, and pilot plant trials within a global FMCG environment.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in food innovation, quality testing, and production trials.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Support R&D technologists in product development and trials
- Conduct laboratory testing (Salt, Oil, Moisture, Particle Size, Bulk Density)
- Assist with pilot plant and factory production trials
- Collect and analyse product samples from production lines
- Compile reports and project documentation
- Support quality, safety, and hygiene standards (GMP compliance)
🎯 Minimum Requirements
- Completed theoretical studies in Biochemistry, Food Technology, or Engineering
- Final-year student requiring WIL placement
- Minimum 60% academic average
- South African citizen
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
