Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with various warehouse operations and delivery-related duties.

Warehouse duties

Your responsibilities may include:

Receiving, checking and assisting with the offloading of incoming stock.
Packing, unpacking, organising and storing stock in the correct areas.
Picking and preparing stock for customer orders, fitment jobs and deliveries.
Loading and unloading company vehicles.
Handling automotive glass and other stock carefully to prevent damage or breakages.
Assisting with stock counts and general stock control when required.
Reporting damaged, missing or incorrectly supplied stock to the relevant team leader or manager.
Keeping the warehouse organised and orderly.
Keeping warehouse floors, loading areas and workspaces clean and safe.
Moving and arranging stock when operationally required.
Following workplace health and safety procedures.
Following instructions from the warehouse team leader, management or authorised supervisors.

Delivery and collection duties

The successful candidate may also be required to perform deliveries and collections.

These duties include:

Carrying out customer and supplier deliveries and collections when required.
Loading and securing stock correctly before travelling.
Checking that goods being delivered match the relevant invoice, delivery note or collection documentation.
Obtaining signatures or proof of delivery.
Using company vehicles responsibly and according to company policies.
Conducting basic vehicle checks before using a company vehicle.
Reporting vehicle defects immediately.
Keeping company vehicles clean and presentable.
Following all road traffic laws and company driving requirements.
Reporting accidents, vehicle damage, traffic fines or other incidents involving a company vehicle.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

A valid South African driver’s licence is required.
Previous warehouse, general worker, stores or delivery experience will be advantageous.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying stock.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good understanding of workplace safety.
Reliable and punctual.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to handle fragile and high-value stock carefully.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work in a busy warehouse environment.

Previous experience is preferred, with the vacancy indicating one year of general work experience and one year of driving experience as preferred experience.

Working Hours

The successful applicant will work according to the company’s applicable shift roster and operational requirements.

The listed working hours may include:

Monday to Friday: 08:00/08:30 to 16:30/17:00
Saturday: 08:00 to 13:00

Applicants must be willing to work Saturdays and reasonable additional hours when operationally required.
