About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving customer payments, reconciling cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing efficient customer service. The role also includes various administrative duties to support branch operations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 2 to 5 years of cashier experience
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Good administrative and recordkeeping skills
- Clear criminal record
- Clear ITC record
- Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
Key Responsibilities
Cash Receipting
- Receive and process customer payments
- Issue receipts for all transactions
- Verify payment amounts and payment methods
- Assist customers with payment-related enquiries
Cash Reconciliation
- Reconcile daily cash received against receipts issued
- Verify cash and cheque totals
- Prepare deposits and supporting documentation
- Identify and resolve cash discrepancies
Documentation and Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate transaction records
- File receipts, deposit slips, and supporting documents
- Retrieve records when required
- Ensure compliance with company procedures
