🧾 Job Overview

The Back of House Storeman will be responsible for coordinating storeroom operations, maintaining accurate stock control, and supporting event operations in line with CTICC standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth back-of-house logistics for large-scale events.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

📦 Storeroom Management

• Oversee daily storeroom operations (consumables, chemicals, equipment)
• Receive and check goods for accuracy and quality
• Issue stock based on requisitions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
• Monitor equipment safety and prevent loss or damage
• Complete daily breakage and inspection reports

👥 Staff Coordination

• Supervise support staff (attendance, breaks, daily briefings)
• Ensure compliance with CTICC policies and dress code
• Provide guidance to maintain high service standards

📊 Stock Control & Administration

• Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts
• Assist with annual stock takes
• Maintain accurate stock records and documentation
• Ensure proper shift handovers

✅ Service & Compliance

• Deliver excellent internal customer service
• Support event operations with equipment logistics
• Follow CTICC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
• At least 1 year experience in storeroom, inventory, or hospitality operations
• Experience in stock control and equipment handling
• Exposure to events or catering environment (advantage)
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Knowledge of stock management and loss control
