Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
• 0 to 6 months experience
• Basic computer literacy
• Good communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation

Knowledge Requirements

Candidates should have knowledge of:

• Unemployment Insurance Act
• Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act
• Public Service Act
• Public Service Regulations
• Batho Pele Principles
• Departmental policies and procedures
• Customer care principles

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Processing UIF claims and applications
• Registering employers and verifying employee declarations
• Executing approved UIF payments within prescribed timeframes
• Assisting clients with UIF-related enquiries
• Providing administrative support within the claims section
• Capturing and maintaining records on relevant systems
