Warehouse Cleaner Job at Katope ITM (Pty) Ltd – Fourways, Johannesburg

Katope ITM (Pty) Ltd is looking for a reliable Warehouse Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic warehouse environment. This role supports production operations while ensuring compliance with GMP, food safety, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning of warehouse floors, shelves, storage areas, and equipment.
Clean production support areas, loading bays, and material handling equipment.
Remove waste, debris, and packaging safely and promptly.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and hygiene regulations.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, dustcoats, safety boots, and masks.
Assist warehouse staff without interrupting production schedules.
Maintain organized storage of cleaning tools and supplies.
Record cleaning activities and report hazards or equipment issues to supervisors.

Requirements:

Grade 10–12 (Matric) preferred
1–3 years’ experience in warehouse cleaning, industrial cleaning, or production support (FMCG, food, confectionery, or sugar manufacturing preferred)
Knowledge of cleaning tools, chemicals, and safe cleaning practices
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends
Attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills
