About the Role:
The Department of Public Works is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join its financial team at the Head Office in Pretoria. This entry-level role involves processing payments, managing receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records using government financial systems. No prior experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments and receipts following departmental procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with basic financial administration and reconciliations
- Operate government financial management systems
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Perform general finance-related administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric (Accounting is an advantage, not required)
- No prior work experience needed
