Job Overview

The General Worker – Divider Cleaner will work within a manufacturing plant environment that may be hot and noisy. The role involves working with heavy equipment and plant machinery and assisting with the maintenance of dividers used during production processes.

Employees may also be required to work overtime or outside normal working hours depending on production requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining divider equipment and assisting with general plant operations. Key duties include:

• Cleaning divider machines according to supplier recommendations.
• Lubricating divider equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Starting the divider to ensure all oiling ports are open and delivering lubrication oil properly.
• Conducting daily inspections of divider machines after cleaning in line with supplier guidelines.
• Reporting any faults, damages, or irregularities to the shift foreman immediately.
• Assisting with divider changeovers during production cycles.
• Supporting the recording of divider standard deviation measurements of dough pieces.
• Performing weekly and monthly lubrication tasks on divider equipment.
• Assisting the Artisan in the make-up area when required.
• Working with and around heavy mechanical and technical plant equipment.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• At least 1 year of experience working in a production factory environment

This role is suitable for candidates who are physically fit, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and capable of handling technical machinery under supervision.
